Honor is preparing to launch its new phone Robot Phone in the Chinese market on August 12, introducing an unconventional concept in the world of digital photography, in collaboration with the German company “ARRI” specialized in cinematic equipment.
Highlighted technologies and specifications
- Mobile camera system: It includes a main camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels mounted on a movable robotic arm made of titanium that extends within 0.8 seconds. The phone has the capability to rotate and tilt 360 degrees to automatically track objects, along with a 200-megapixel telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
- Dedicated image processor: The company equipped the phone with a Yuguang H1 chip dedicated to processing the colors and lighting of images, along with a smaller and more powerful anti-shake (Gimbal) engine compared to traditional motors.
- Cinematic features: The phone supports cinematic shooting mode (Log-C) and LUT color files and full manual control over indicators, making it particularly geared towards content creators and professionals.
- Expected specifications: Leaks indicate a 6.4-inch display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 6,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and memory options of up to 1 terabyte.
